Kotobukiya today officially announced the scheduled release of a Celestia figure who is the 10th figure from the Shining Wind series to be made by them. Her official announcement came as a minor surprise as I was expecting her to be presented only at Wonder Festival later this month. The other figure news today that caught my attention today was the preview of Nendoroid Hakurei Reimu by Mika-tan.

I love K-ON! … I guess that probably says it all for me regarding my impression of the anime series. Before the start of the spring anime season, K-ON! was little more than just another series on my watch list which I was hoping would turn out decent. Before the anime, what I know about Queen’s Blade was confined to Megahouse’s line of Excellent Core Model figures which in turn are based on Hobby Japan’s original illustrations. They were to me a series of high quality figures and being an avid figures collector, I have amongst my collection quite a few of them. So given my involvement with Queen’s Blade figures, I was naturally very interested when the anime series was announced.

Both figures are 1/8 scale and are scheduled for release in October 2009 for a retail price of 6,800 yen each.

Here is my figures haul for the month of June. Instead of doing random figures haul post like I did in the past, I will look back on my purchases for the month at each month’s end. Ironically, except for my Nendoroids, all my initial pre-orders for June were postponed to releases at later months. So in the end, I went hunting for previously released figures that I wanted and eventually ended up with six of them.
