Review of Donne Anonime (Namae no Nai Onna)

Posted by ELTboy on November 14, 2009

For this figure photoshoot review, I decided to pick the most expensive purchase in my collection so far. She is Tora no Ana’s 1/6 scale figure of Donne Anonime a.k.a. Namae no Nai Onna who was released in May earlier this year. I am not very familiar with the character, but she is a bounty hunter from the Nitro+ eroge Satsuriku no Jango.

Before proceeding any further, please note that this review is meant for mature audience only.

She retails for 13,440 yen and although officially a 1/6 scale figure, the actual figure looks more like a 1/8 scale. I don’t mind that since she blends well into my collection which consists mostly of 1/8 scale figures. Being a Tora no Ana figure, I would have had to go through a proxy service to get her. Lucky for me, my local store was able to bring her in. That saved me quite a bit of money even if she still ends up as my most expensive figure. ^^”

For this photoshoot review, I ran into loads of trouble and this is by some distance my most difficult photoshoot so far. I shall not go into the details but it is times like this when I wish I understand photography better and have a SLR camera. Anyway, most of the resultng photos weren’t decent enough for use and those that were needed loads of post processing. :(

Anyway, on to the figure review.

She is my first figure from Tora no Ana and I am very pleased with the overall quality of the figure. She is a mightily impressive figure and I absolutely love her dynamic pose and awesome base. Donne Anonime’s main weapon is a Remington New Model Army .44 caliber revolver which she holds in her hand while she also comes with other great accessories and gunneries. Pity my camera battery went flat before I could take photos of them. ^^”

The face sculpture is probably the least favorite part of the figure for me. Her face is actually decent looking with the hat on but once the hat is removed, the head have a rather weird and compressed shape in my opinion. That also explains why I didn’t take any shoots with her hat off. ^^” Her hair is sculpted quite nicely, although sadly, none of my shoots on them turned out well. Gomen …

Here is a look at her outfit.

This is a lovely outfit design that makes Donne Anonime sexy and dangerous at the same time. I especially love the wonderful sculpting work done for her cape and the chains on the outfit. The chains could have been a tad more metallic looking, but it’s not a major issue. For her body, it is also well sculpted though I guess her oversized tits would probably be the most attention grabbing.  No complains for me even if I don’t like over-sized tits. ^^”

Besides this kuroi outfit, I have seen images of her in two other outfits. Her usual outfit is the one on Alter’s sculpture and there is also a white outfit which I would love for Alter or Tora no Ana to make a figure of her in.

For the base, it is fantastic looking. This is a perfect example of how much a wonderful base can add to a figure sculpture. The good thing is that I think figure makers are slowly coming to realise that. Anyway, the coffin also doubles up as a storage for all her gunneries for those that doesn’t fancy laying out her accessories. I have her displayed with everything out though. :)

This figure of Donne Anonime has cast-off options built into the sculpture. And here’s the reason why this is a mature audience only figure review.

I am not a fan of figures with cast-off options given that many of them are a pain to cast-off. Good thing for Donne Anonime, the cast-off is pretty straight forward and she does look great as well with lesser clothes. I especially like the back view. ^^”

That wraps up my review. Not a lot of photos this time round. Anyway, my final judgement of this figure of Donne Anonime by Tora no Ana is that she is a stunning figure with a great dynamic pose and sculpting details. Easily a contender for figure of the year in my opinion. Every figures collection needs a centerpiece and this figure certainly fits the bill.

    This is an impressive figure dynamic and dangerous. I dont like Donne Anonime but it’s the character that I don’t like. This realisation is nice ! Thank for this review.

      I guess she might not be everybody’s type of figure but the pose is really irresistible and awesome for me. The sculptor really did a wonderful job with the pose. ^^

    She’s got an awesome pose, the angles of her arms and legs flow together really well. I really wanted this figure, but the price was just a bit too much for me. That and I’m not a big fan of girls who smoke. Maybe I’ll just pretend that she’s chewing on a pen.

      My photos doesn’t do her justice, but she is really great. Do get her if you have the chance. I don’t like girls who smoke either, but I really love the figure so I forgive her for her vices. ^^”

    Actually the photo were not bad at all! I like the background you used.

    Her oppai are really humongous… It’s like bouncy naked yum yum cake. :-p Ni(-) (insert weird character) is one of my favourite artists, pity that this figure is out of my reach economically. ^^;;

      Thanks. I was fustrated that many photos turned out bad and couldn’t be used for the review. I kinda let the figure down by not doing a good review of her. So I was sad about that.

      Anyway, me love Nishii’s works too… any of his works that got turned into figures are always great.

    Very sweet figure.
    So you are actually working with a point and shoot camera?I always thought you use a DSLR ^^;

    • ELTboy said

      Ya, she’s quite worth it. I just can’t stop raving about her. ^^”

      The point and shoot camera isn’t even mine. LOL … but I try to make the most out of what I have. I am saving up for a DSLR now … but it’s difficult because most of my spendings go to my beloved figures. ^^”
