K-ON! is all the rage now in the otaku world for those that watches the anime. And in Japan, there’s nothing that an otaku fan can’t do. As the anime nears its midpoint airing, fans have already been able to identify an amzing amount of real life places that were used in the animation.

Otaku fandom strikes again! This time round, we have a Macross Cafe special. In conjunction with the upcoming SDF-1 Macross Launching Ceremony event in Akihabara UDX on 22nd February 2009, organizers are collaborating with Cure Maid Cafe for a limited period Macross themed Cafe @ Cure Maid Cafe!

International Saimoe League 2009 today release the confirmation of the 48 nominees for the preliminary rounds after weeks of nominations. Quite a number of nominees were from newer animes released in 2008. But there were still quite a few notable absentees from the list for me though.

This is another Kannagi fandom post, continuation of my original post previously. Not. Anyway, this time round, Seiya of Heisei Democracy takes us to the actual origins of the Meido Cafe seen in Episode 6 of the Kannagi anime, where Nagi-sama and Tsugumi worked at the cafe as cosplaying waitress to earn their keeps. The real-life cafe though is known as Cafe Mai:lish.

I was browsing through the internet when I came across this tournament – International Saimoe League 2009. It certainly seems to me to be the international representation of the Japanese Saimoe tournament. The only other such tournaments that I know of is the Korean version. For those unsure, these are all tournaments to identify the most moe (and in my opinion – most popular) female anime characters.
